ASID Arizona North: Gold Award Seventyone15 McDowell Custom Detail
Taking inspiration from vibrancy and playfulness of the disco era, this project blends raw oak, rattan, terrazzo, mixed metals, and curvilinear forms. In the leasing office, a long oak bookcase with repeating half arches anchors the space with subtle drama and serves as a stylistic barometer. The two-story “Old Town Mid-Century” clubroom celebrates disco era glamour with rich textures, sculpted staircases, and layered furnishings, with a center core cleverly housing the restrooms and serving as the TV wall for the formal lounge seating.
Together, these elements create a striking, inviting hub that feels both dramatic and residential in scale.
